TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Delivery and Collection Fee

  1. Delivery and collection within 5 KM radius will be FREE of charge. Delivery and collection above 5KM incur charges of MYR1.00 / KM. The hirer will be informed for the additional charge for delivery and collection.

Driver's Age and Licence Requirements

  1. The drivers must be between 23 and 65 years old. Other nationals who hold a valid driving licence in English can drive in Malaysia for a maximum of 3 months. Probational license holders will not be accepted.

Minimum Rental

  1. Minimum rental is one day (24 hours). Any extension of 12 hours and longer will be considered as full day rate.

Vehicle Collection

  1. During the vehicle collection, the hirer is required to check for any damage or missing part to the vehicles. If the hirer found any damages or missing parts before the collection, please inform our staff immediately. Any damage or missing part that is not reported earlier will be considered under the hirer responsibility.

Insurance & Excess

  1. All vehicles are fully insured with standard motor vehicle policy. However the hirer is responsible for excess not exceeding MYR3,000 (Group A), MYR5,000 (Group B), MYR6,000 (Group C) and MYR10,000 (Group D).
  2. The hirer can reduce the excess to MYR2,000 (Group A), MYR3,000 (Group B – C) and MYR5,000 (Group D) by purchasing optional EXCESS PROTECTION (EP) for MYR40.00 per day for ALL groups.
  3. All insurance and excess protection do not apply for damage or lost due to careless action, negligence, illegal or improper use of the vehicle. The insurance and excess protection also not cover for tyre punctures, burst tyres, fuel errors, battery damage because of forgotten turned off electrical devices and loss or damage to the vehicle accessories.
  4. The accident or damage only applies for collision between two moving objects. Any damage while the vehicle is stationary will be under hirer’s full responsibility and subjected to the above excess and excess protection.
  5. For damages which caused by third party’s fault (Example the car is hit from the back by the third party), the hirer is required to get information from the third party driver which include the driver’s name, IC/Passport, driving licences and vehicle registration number. To ensure the subsequent claiming process is going smooth and also for safety reason, don’t ever mention about your trip details to anybody and never mention that you are renting/hiring the car now. Simply call our representative and our team will handle the rest of the procedures. In the event of damages caused by the third party, hirer still have to pay 3days rental to FAREGO and in the event of shortage of fleet (peak season) FAREGO has a right to replace the car to any available model/group as long as the number of seats can accommodates all the passengers. In the event of FAREGO has to proceed with the downgrading of the model as a replacement of the fleet (post-accident), no refund will be offered to the hirer/customer to compensate the price differences (if any).
  6. The hirer is reminded that underbody and overhead damage is at their own risk at all times. All insurance and excess protection are void if the vehicle is driven on unsealed and unmade road or surface.
  7. The hirer is required to contact our representatives to inform us for any event of accidents or car theft.
  8. A police report should be made within 24 hours after the accidents or from the time you’ve found out the theft or loss. The police report should be obtained in writing.
  9.  All FAREGO cars are strictly prohibited from being driven into Singapore, Thailand, Brunei and Indonesia.

Deposit

  1. The refundable security deposit of RM300 will be collected from the 1st timer /walk in/offline customers. No security deposit will be collected from the return/regular/online customers. The security deposit will be refunded after 7 working days upon returning the vehicle if no damages has occurred and no summons has appeared within the rental period.

Penalties

  1. Smoking is prohibited inside the car. Penalty MYR300 will be charged for cleaning any unpleasant odour.
  2. All traffic/parking summons (if any) will be under hirer responsibility. Penalty MYR50 will be charged if the customer failed to pay the summons within the time specified after we send notification.
  3. For long term rental, the hirer is responsible to inform us if the car is due for servicing ASAP. We reserve the right to charge penalty of MYR1.00 per KM after 500 KM exceeding the service limit.

Speed Limit

  1. Speed limit for highway in Malaysia is 110 KM/hr, while normal road is 90 KM/hr. Please drive carefully and obey traffic rules.

Returning the Vehicle

  1. Please inform us if you want to return or extend the rental.

Cancellation Policy

  1. All cancellation must be sent to our email booking@farego.my. No refund will be offer if the cancellation is due to the flight cancellation, natural disaster such as earthquake and disease/viruses outbreaks or any unforeseen circumstances . However we provide an option to all our customers to postpone the trip to a later date and the validity period is 2 year.

Mileage Policy & UMP

  1.  All FAREGO cars comes with unlimited mileage.
